Southgate Animal Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, which is the highest honor an animal hospital can achieve. This means that our hospital has been successfully evaluated by an outside consultant on over 800 standards that directly correlate to the care we provide your pet, including continuing education, medical record-keeping, pain management, diagnostic equipment, radiology, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and facility maintenance. The staff does OSHA safety inspections on a monthly basis. To maintain our accredited status and to make sure we are keeping up with industry updates, we are evaluated every three years.
At Southgate, we believe proper nutrition contributes to a healthy, longer life for your pet. For this reason, we have nutritional counselors on staff to assist you in implementing and maintaining a nutrition regimen. There is a full line of prescription and non-prescription foods available.
