Fairway Animal Hospital first opened in 1975 as a satellite to Prairie Village Animal Hospital.  The clinic was soon sold to Dr. Bill Worley.  Dr. Hires Gage joined the practice as an associate in 1979, and bought the hospital in 1981.

Since its beginning, Fairway Animal Hospital has focused on quality patient care and building relationships with owners and their pets, and the hospital joined the American Animal Hospital Association in 1988, which sets the standard of excellence in veterinary medicine.  Becoming AAHA-accredited is not an easy task, and requires adherance to the organization's strict standards.  You can learn more about AAHA here.
