Originally from Rhode Island, Dr. Brenda Francis attended Northeastern University in Boston, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in cardiopulmonary science.  Her love for the mountains and outdoors brought her and her husband, Eric, to Colorado, where she later received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University.  While studying, Brenda worked as a critical care technician, as well as an emergency anesthesia technician at CSU’s Veterinary Medical Center.  After graduation, she completed an internship in surgery and medicine at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver in 2008 and has enjoyed practicing emergency and critical care medicine ever since.  True to Colorado’s nature, Brenda and Eric can often be found riding the local mountain bike trails or racing for Pedal Pushers Cyclery during their time off.  She also enjoys spending time with their two cats; Border collie, Zoe; and Labrador, Chava.
