Dr. Lauren Butler graduated with a BS in zoology in 2002 and received her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2006 from Colorado State University. She studied Spanish throughout college and enjoys practicing with native speakers whenever she can. 

Lauren reunited with Deer Creek after being a veterinary assistant for a few years before she was admitted to vet school. “I am very excited to return to Deer Creek and work with the caring and compassionate people who helped me to get where I am today.”

Lauren’s special interests in veterinary medicine are dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, and senior care (especially pain management). Our pets are living longer in part due to the improvements in preventive care, and Lauren’s goal is to keep them comfortable in their senior years. Lauren also brings a holistic side to her practice. She is a certified veterinary acupuncturist and enjoys integrating this treatment modality into pets’ lives. 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Lauren pursues a healthy lifestyle and enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and two cats, Sniffy and Lea.
