Dr. Candice Ottone received her BS in biological sciences from California State University, Chico. While awaiting her admission to veterinary school, she lived in Hawaii, where she fulfilled a marine mammal and aquatic medicine internship and learned how to scuba dive.

Candice graduated in 2012 from Oklahoma State University and did her internship here at Deer Creek. “I knew the moment I arrived at Deer Creek as a veterinary student, I wanted to be a part of this amazing hospital and community. I am very fortunate to be around such great teachers, experience, and high standard of care.” Candice has been a part of the Deer Creek team since 2012.

From northern California, Candice found her way to Denver after she met her husband, Andy, who grew up in Littleton. Besides her passion for medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, a Maltese/Lhasa named Patty Mayonnaise and a Brussels Griffon named Reilly. She also enjoys being active outdoors, which is one of the many reasons she fell in love with Colorado.
