Dr. Montgomery is a 2007 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, Dr. Montgomery was interested in equine and small animal medicine and surgery. Due to a strong interest in working with elite athletes and a love for working outdoors, Dr. Montgomery elected to complete an equine medicine and surgery internship at Wilhite and Frees Equine Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Montgomery completed a three-year equine surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Montgomery became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS) in 2013.

Dr. Montgomery joined Desert Pines Equine Center in Las Vegas in August of 2012 as their equine surgeon. Dr. Montgomery’s advanced training in equine surgery is of great benefit as a small animal practitioner. Dr. Montgomery’s interests are in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as general medicine and preventative health care.

Dr. Montgomery, originally from Colorado, enjoys life in Las Vegas with her fiancé, Marc and her cat Whiskers. In her spare time Dr. Montgomery loves the mountains, hiking, camping, and skiing.
