Born in Alaska and raised in the mountains of Colorado, Dr. Pamela Edwards grew up close to nature and animals and had already decided to be a veterinarian by the age of 3.  She developed a passion for wildlife while working at an area zoo and volunteering for the Division of Wildlife during high school. She completed undergraduate requirements at Colorado State University and eagerly went straight through to the veterinary program, receiving her DVM in 2006.  After graduation, Dr. Edwards went on to work in wildlife rehabilitation and created a consultation service for veterinarians and rehabbers alike; however, she missed the human-animal bond and after 4 years, added small animal practice work to her already full schedule.  She relocated to Brooklyn at the end of 2012 with her artist boyfriend, 3 cats, and 2 small dogs and is loving it!  Professionally, she has a soft spot for exotic pets, geriatric pets, and cancer patients. In her spare time (ha!), she loves writing, sketching, reading, travel, and watching horror movies.
