Dr. Burnett is originally from Canaan, New Hampshire where she grew up among cats and dogs and nearby dairy farms. She received her bachelor of arts with a major in English from Bates College in Maine. Dr. Burnett attended Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Cum Laude. She then completed a small animal medicine and surgery Internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Burnett is thrilled to join Hope Veterinary Clinic! Her special interests include small animal internal medicine, particularly immune-mediated and endocrine diseases as well as nutrition, surgery and emergency care. When not working she loves cooking, running for competition and peace of mind, yoga, traveling, hiking and dog parks. Dr. Burnett lives with her rad husband, beloved Basset Hound, Reese Beast, and two ridiculous cats – Chicken and Mini Monster.
