Juliet Sternberg was born and raised in London, England. As a teenager she fell in love with dairy cows and initially pursued a career in dairy farming before factory farming methods became intolerable to her. She came to the U.S. in 1989 and to New York in 1992. She obtained her MSW degree from Fordham University in 2002. Prior to launching Hope Veterinary Clinic, Juliet had 10 years of experience in mental health and geriatric case management and counseling. Juliet founded the NASW-NYC group Social Workers Advancing the Human Animal Bond, and frequently speaks and writes about human-animal bond issues. In her leisure time she enjoys cycling, hiking, kayaking, baking, and passionately supports Liverpool F.C. and the Yankees.
