Dr. Porte graduated from Louisiana State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She then completed a Behavior Fellowship at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis. Her special interests are in Behavior and Pediatric/Geriatric Medicine. 

She enjoys playing the bass steel drums, tap dancing, yoga, movies, theater, music and walking. She is pictured with her dog, Tilly. She also has 2 cats, Andouille and Lagniappe.
