Dr. Garberson was born and raised in Fresno, California. As an avid cross country and track athlete, she spent many days jogging with the family dog.  She obtained a B.S. in animal science from UC Davis and loved Davis so much that she decided to attend veterinary school there as well. As a veterinarian her interests include wellness care, dermatology, and general surgery. She currently lives in Davis with her husband, Tom, and cat, Robin.
