Dai McWhorter, DVM, joined the staff of Animal Medical Center in May of1997. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee then moved to Bedford, Texas at age nine, and lived there until she attended college. She moved to Amarillo in May of 1997. Dr. McWhorter earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A & M in 1994 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A & M in 1997. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the High Plains Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. McWhorter married fellow Aggie, Kelly McWhorter, in June of 1997. Some of her hobbies include singing and gardening. She has two sons, two dogs and one cat. Dr. McWhorter says that she always wanted to be a veterinarian and she is still in love with her job. “The great staff and the the cutting edge diagnostics at Animal Medical Center help me perform to the best of my abilities.”
