Dr. Bethany Smith is a Cypress native, who joined Longwood Animal Hospital in June 2006. Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University in 2002. She went on to complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A&M University in May 2005. Dr. Smith is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She has a professional interest in surgery and creating a life-long bond with her clients and patients.

Dr. Smith decided to become a veterinarian in high school after discovering that her passion for animals, helping people and working with children could all be fulfilled with this career. Dr. Smith and her husband have been married for 10 years. Together they have 2 daughters and 1 son. Dr. Smith shares her home with 1 orange tabby cat named Chaz. Outside of the practice, Dr. Smith is actively involved in her church, loves to travel and enjoys Aggie football. Dr. Smith’s favorite places to travel are Colorado in the winter and anywhere with a beach in the summer. She has spent many family vacations tubing the Frio River and hopes to visit Hawaii one day.
