Personal Information
A native of Kansas, Dr. Addleman knew early on that she would devote her life to providing animals with the highest possible levels of medical care. Her dedication led her to volunteer at the local animal shelters and zoo for many years prior to her acceptance into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. Dr. Addleman relocated to Southern California after completing her doctorate and accepted a prestigious internship with the nation's third largest small animal referral hospital, where her focus was emergency and critical care medicine. Following her internship, Dr. Addleman spent more than four years as an associate at a Santa Monica animal hospital and more than two years specializing in feline medicine at a premier Los Angeles Cat Hospital. Dr. Addleman joined Memorial Cat Hospital in February of 2007.
In addition to practicing Western or 'modern' medicine, Dr. Addleman is certified in veterinary acupuncture. You can request Dr. Addleman to use acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs to supplement the treatment of cats affected with conditions such as arthritis, asthma, allergies, constipation, urinary issues, vomiting and diarrhea. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs can be used to help treat cats with chronic illness and cancer.
Dr. Addleman's kids consist of two cats, "Amos" and "Alvin Ann", along with her Standard Poodle, "Avi".
