Dr. Heather Bunting grew up in Humble, TX, and knew from the age of 5 that she wanted to be a veterinarian.

She received her bachelor of science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2003. She then moved to Southern California to attend veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After graduating in 2009, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery with a emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles. She worked as a general practitioner in Southern California for 3 years, before deciding to move back home to Texas to be closer to family. Dr. Bunting's professional interests include cardiology, wound healing, ultrasound, and preserving the human-animal bond.

In her free time she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, playing basketball, and Aggie Football. She is happy to be back in Texas and is looking forward to spending more time with her two nephews and niece. Her four-legged family includes Murphy, a Jack Russell terrier; Bella, a Catahoula; and a big orange cat named Milo.
