Dr. Chosa was born and raised in Johnson City, TN. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia & her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia. After graduating from veterinary school, she joined the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and served on active duty for 5 years. During this time, she provided care for soldiers' pets, military working dogs, and marine mammals. She left the military in 2010 and moved to Brevard County, then purchased Courtenay Animal Hospital in March 2012.

When Dr. Chosa is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes Buddy, her beloved Golden Retriever mix. She promotes a healthy lifestyle for pets and also for her family, with a focus on nutrition, exercise, and quality time spent together. She also enjoys community service and is eager to give back to the local community and causes around the world.
