Call Us (623) 349-7756Dr. Robert Kritsberg graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. He worked for the University Hills Animal Hospital in Denver before moving to Glendale, Arizona where he practiced at the Arizona Humane Society Animal Hospital until 1975. In 1975 he started Olive West Animal Hospital in Glendale, and also worked part time for the Emergency Animal Hospital while his practice grew. In 1978 Dr. Kritsberg and Dr. Haskell Wright became partners and practiced together out of Apollo Animal Hospital and the renamed Apollo West Animal Hospital. A few years later, Dr. Mark Trueblood joined the partnership and eventually Dr. Barry Prynn also became a partner combining four different practices into one. Upon Dr. Prynn’s unfortunate death from pancreatic cancer, Dr. Charles Toben joined the practice and in 1996 both Apollo Animal Hospital and Apollo North Animal Hospital became one of the original group of hospitals that formed NVA, National Veterinary Associates. Throughout the years Dr. Kritsberg practiced small animal medicine and surgery with a definite interest in soft tissue surgery. Presently Dr. Kritsberg works part time at Apollo North Animal Hospital primarily performing surgery.
Dr. Kritsberg is married to Marcia and has two grown children, Sonja and John, plus 5 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Dr. Kritsberg enjoys golf and reading, plus serving on various golf committees, in addition to serving on the Arizona State Veterinary Investigative Committee for the State Veterinary Examining Board.
Dr. Kritsberg is a member of the AVMA, AAHA, the AzVMA.
