Dr. Sunderman was born and raised in Phoenix.  She attended the University of Arizona and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences.  She then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins and graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (where she was classmates with Drs. Alber and Freeman).  Dr. Sunderman had practiced veterinary medicine for 10 years in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale before moving to Gilbert and joining the Prestige family.  Her professional interests focus on preventative medicine and preserving quality of life for her patients and their families.  She feels client education and communication are indispensable in acheiving these goals, and loves talking with clients about their pets.  Dr. Sunderman's time away from work is spent with her husband, their 2 young sons, their dog, and their horse.  She enjoys anything involving the great outdoors, especially hiking with her family.
