Dr. Diaz was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. After earning is bachelor's degree in Biology, Dr. Diaz moved to Chicago where he worked at one of the city's largest animal shelters as a surgical technician. He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies and completed his clinical and surgical training at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Diaz moved to Buffalo in 2009 and is now one of the few bi-lingual doctors in the Buffalo area. He lives with his wife Dr. Kimberly Meisner (who is also a veterinarian), two cats, Oscar and Passoa, who were rescued from the island and two recently rescued pits: Mia and Luna. He is very passionate about his family, pets, and his career. In his free time, he enjoys history and astronomy and following sports, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs.
