Rebecca Wagner D.V.M.

Dr. Wagner was born in Illinois and grew up in Eastern Michigan and central New York. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree in Biological and Chemical Sciences from Wells College in Aurora, New York, followed by an Applied Animal Science Degree in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea Institute in Denver, Colorado. She worked as a veterinary technician at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, which was the hospital featured on the former Animal Planet Network show “Emergency Vets,” and at Centennial Valley Animal Hospital in Littleton, Colorado. After working as a certified veterinary technician, Dr. Wagner pursued her career with animals and enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine program in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Wagner took an interest in research while in veterinary school and has since co-published an article in the American Animal Hospital Association Trends Magazine. After graduation, she wanted to move closer to home after being away from her family for many years. Dr. Wagner started to work at Buffalo Small Animal Hospital soon after her graduation from veterinary school and has since become the senior veterinarian at BSAH. Dr. Wagner has special interests in soft tissue surgery and ultrasonography. She lives in Williamsville with her husband, Jon, two boys, three dogs (Oliver-beagle, Bentley – bull mastiff, and Shila – Siberian Husky, three rescue cats (Cat, Orange Cat, and Half-Pint), African Grey (Cooper), one-legged cockatiel (Oedipus), and budgie (Pepe.)
