Nobody can argue the fact that Charles Barnes is the most influential individual in ACC's history. Chas grew up a true cowboy in the deserts of Nevada. He graduated from veterinary school in 1958 (the seventh class to leave the hallowed halls of UC Davis) and joined Dr Roy Cobble (from the first UC Davis veterinary class) at Animal Care Center shortly thereafter. After a brief stint in the army, he became a co-owner in 1965. Chas completed 50 years of indentured servitude to ACC in August 2008, making him perhaps the most known and loved person in Vacaville. Ever the story teller, he earned his first BS degree in the 1950s, and continues to earn them daily ever since. Now in partial retirement, Chas sees occasional clients to prevent the torch wielding mob from ransacking our doors.
