Call Us (386) 462-7225Dr. Seth Colman is a 2013 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Colman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Animal Science and Music. In 2008 he matriculated to professional school pursuing a joint Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Masters in Public Health (MPH). He joins the Countryside Animal Hospital family with a strong background in both medicine and surgery. Dr. Colman’s clinical veterinary interests include cardiology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and internal medicine.
Growing up in South Florida, Dr. Colman knew he wanted to be veterinarian from a young age. He was born into a pet-friendly home, always surrounded by a combination of dogs and birds. He spent his youth, high school, and college years volunteering and working in several veterinary settings. Before veterinary school, Dr. Colman spent time working at both the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Boston.
While in veterinary school, Dr. Colman was recognized by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) for his clinical excellence in patient care and research. Additionally, Dr. Colman was awarded an internship at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Colman has a strong belief in the human-animal bond and understands the special relationship between humans and their pets. This is why he treats each case with the attention and detail it deserves. Dr. Colman enjoys educating people about pet health care, and helping clients make informed decisions when the furry member of their family is sick.
When not a Countryside Animal Hospital, Dr. Colman enjoys spending time with family and friends. His wife, Dr. Nora Colman, is a pediatrician at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Together they have a very handsome English bulldog named Tebow. In his spare time Dr. Colman enjoys playing the trumpet, traveling, painting, soccer, exercising, and Gator athletics.
