Bridget Fitzpatrick, DVM

Bridget Fitzpatrick, DVM

Dr. Bridget Fitzpatrick joined our team of veterinarians in the spring of 2011. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University in Alabama in 2007.   Prior to her veterinary training she attended the University of Maryland, in her home state, majoring in Biology.   Recently, Dr. Fitzpatrick fulfilled her yen for adventure by traveling to Beijing, China as a Foreign Veterinary Consultant at the International Center for Veterinary Services.  While she immensely enjoyed her time overseas, we are pleased at her return.
An experienced veterinarian, her practice philosophy is to thoroughly evaluate each patient, clearly communicate with owners, and advocate for the best care for each patient.
Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys invitations to assist with school and community events, especially as her own interest in animals was nurtured through 4-H and school science projects.  One of her recent school visits was featured in a magazine article, Beijing Kids.  To view some of her overseas patients visithttp://www.icvsasia.com.
Her professional associations include the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), and the Association of Sugar Glider Veterinarians.  She is U.S.D.A. accredited to perform health examinations for intrastate and international pet travel.
In her free time, Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys cooking, dancing, and learning Mandarin Chinese.  Her extremely playful tortoiseshell cat and whistling cockatiels keep her home lively, though a bit dusty and furry.  She is looking forward to meeting you and your furry, feathered, or scaled family members soon.
