Dr. Pugh graduated from Cornell University in 1999. After finishing her internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2000, she started working at North Shore Animal League in Port Washington where she lead their Hurricane Katrina rescue efforts in New Orleans and eventually became the Medical Director in 2005. In 2007 Dr. Pugh decided she wanted a change from shelter medicine and began working as an Emergency Veterinarian in at the Veterinary Emergency Group in White Plains. After starting a family she desired to be closer to home and took the position of an Emergency Veterinarian here at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center. Her veterinary interests also include alternate pain management including acupuncture and physical therapy. When away from work, she spends most of her time taking on the challenges of motherhood but also loves running, hiking, yoga and travelling with her husband, daughter and 2 border collies.
