Dr. Lilli D. Kusiak

Dr. Lilli D. Kusiak

Dr. Lilli D. Kusiak received her V.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. A native of New York City, she received her B.S. in Biology from The City College of New York, graduating Magna cum laude in 1974. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society that same year. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Pennsylvania and Bucks-Montgomery V.M.A.'s and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.

"Dr. Lil" has spent her entire professional life in Central Bucks County, PA tending to the pets of the region. She founded Indian Walk Veterinary Center in 1990. The practice began with one doctor and two assistants in a renovated 3 bedroom house. It has grown into a well-respected facility with two doctors, a support staff of 10 and a state-of-the-art hospital. Lilli's main professional interests are client education, internal medicine, and care of exotic pets and wildlife.

In addition to her professional and administrative duties at IWVC, Lilli has volunteered her time and energy to speak with school students at Career Fairs, handle phone calls on radio and television "Ask the Vet" shows, and neuter animals at the local animal shelter. She spent two years acting as Bucks County Coordinator for the PA State Animal Response Team. This group works with Emergency Management units to handle animals affected by natural or man-made disasters. Lilli's favorite charities are the American Red Cross, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Bucks County SPCA and the Morris Animal Foundation.

Lilli and her husband Blair have three cats, Wilbur, Matilda and Sabrina, who were rescued as tiny kittens, and Barney, a little mixed breed dog whom they found on PetFinder.com. Lilli enjoys reading, knitting, music, theater and traveling in her spare time.
