Danielle, one of our veterinary assistants, started her interest in animals as a teenager after caring for multiple feral cats in her neighborhood. After that she knew the veterinary field was one she wanted to jump right into after high school. Danielle is currently working on finishing her veterinary technician degree at Northwestern CT Community College. She has been the president of the Vet Tech Club there for a little over a year. As president of the club, she organizes various activities to raise money for local animal rescues/shelters. Danielle has worked in veterinary clinics since 2010 where she has gained experience in reception, animal care, client communication, preventative care, radiology, anesthesia and assisting in surgery. She is also currently BBAH's safety supervisor.
At home, Danielle has three cats: Kit, Lucky and Bella. Kit is her special needs cat who she rescued and adores. She also has a three year old goldfish named Pete! Danielle enjoys assisting clients in the care of their older feline pets, since she has a 20+ yr old cat herself that she cares for. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, giving lots of kisses to her fur babies, shopping, bowling, and anything outdoorsy.
