Dr. Slaton grew up in Ventura and attended Buena High School. On the Varsity swimming and water polo teams he excelled and was a member of the Junior National Championship Water Polo Team. As an undergraduate at the University of California, Irvine he participated on the nationally ranked UC Irvine Water Polo team. Dr. Slaton graduated from Ross Veterinary University and completed his final year at Washington State University. He is a member of the Santa Barbara-Ventura Veterinary Medical Association, Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Slaton has a son named Noah, who loves Thomas the Train. He is married to Carolyn Cain and have a son named London. They also have 3 dogs and a cat at home: Onyx the Black Lab, Chelsea the King Charles Spaniel, and Noah's favorite, Beanz the Chihuahua. The cat is named Smeagol. Dr. Slaton is very active and enjoys running, swimming, and Crossfit. When he gets spare time, he loves to snowboard and scuba dive. Most of all, Dr. Slaton loves spending time with his family.
