The newest addition to Acacia Animal Health Center is Dr. Amy Lockwood. She is native to San Diego and has been practicing in North County since she graduated from the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.

She is excited to become a part of Acacia's Integrative and Holistic Medicine department and begin incorporating new healing modalities into her repertoire. Dr. Lockwood is passionate about blending more traditional western medicine with acupuncture and other holistic therapies to provide dogs and cats with the highest quality medicine. She has now completed her Certification of Veterinary Acupuncture. She has had advanced training in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM, animal chiropractic), laser therapy, and herbal medicine.

Dr. Lockwood lives in Oceanside with her boyfriend and daughter and spends her time outside of work working in her organic garden, traveling, reading, and dancing.
