A 1975 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, he has practiced Suburban Animal Clinic since graduation. Dr. Seimer has served as president of the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine. The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association named him "Veterinarian of the Year" in 1987 and presented Dr. Seimer with the Distinguished Service Award in 1988. In 2003, he was recognized by the Ohio Association of Veterinary Technicians for his loyalty, support and guidance to their organization.

Dr. Seimer has served and chaired numerous local, state, and national veterinary committees. Dr. Seimer has a special interest in surgery, dentistry and senior pet care. His hobbies include golf, cooking and OSU sports. He is married with two married daughters, 2 wonderful son-in-laws, and 4 grandpuppies, 2 granddaughters and a grandson. His pet family includes a Boxer mix, Angel and Pepper, a domestic long hair cat.
