Dr. Barnhart earned her degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan, where she also earned a B.A. in the History of Art. She completed her internship with the Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, Michigan.

“I have a strong interest in oncology and internal medicine, although working with people and animals is the main reason I am in this profession.”

She has six pets – a dog named Maya and five cats named Frida, Boolie, Keith Richards, Potato, and Pablo. She enjoys the outdoors – particularly camping, hiking, and snowshoeing. She also enjoys traveling, doing yoga, checking out art, and listening to music.
