Graduation with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Iowa State University in 1993 fulfilled a dream that started when I was 9 years old.  Fortunately, I can honestly say that my youthful instincts were correct; animals have always been important in my life and I love celebrating the human-animal bond daily at work as I care for my patients.  It is rewarding to see how a pet can enhance the lives of their people.  My special goal is to help keep your pet healthy and happy so you can enjoy a long, full life together.

Outside of work, I share my life with 2 mischievous cats, an aged dog and my husband.   In my spare time I enjoy many outdoor activities including backpacking, cross country skiing, and working on restoring our oak savanna.
