Laura grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Columbia Station 20 years ago. It has always been her passion to help animals and people, and she has spent her life doing just that. Laura has worked in the veterinary field for over 35 years, 24 of those at Emerald Animal Hospital. She has rescued and bottle fed countless numbers of puppies and kittens. She often volunteers to foster dogs and cats until they can find their forever homes, and has even helped care for a goat, a horse, and a few birds along the way. Over the years, many of the clients of Emerald Animal Hospital consider Laura a close friend. There have been times when elderly clients who were hospitalized or recovering from an illness did not know where else to turn. Laura offered to feed and walk their pets until they were back on their feet again. She has been married for 27 years and her beautiful daughter just began her second year of college.
