I was born and raised in Germany and introduced to the animal world at the sweet age of 5. Growing up with pigs, cattle sheep, dogs and cats was by far the coolest way of spending the day.

All that changed when it was time to get serious about getting an education. I hold a degree in Business Management and acquired a license to teach gymnastics.

In 1992 I married my best friend, a "Farmer", who made the military his career.

One of his military assignments landed us in Japan, where I managed a shelter of several hundred animal for about 4 years.

Upon returning to the United States, I became a correctional officer and had the unique opportunity to be involved with their working dogs.

This taught me a very different discipline and appreciation of the four "legged" world; this led me to start training dogs as well. During this time I never lost my fascination of the feline world.

Eventually I began to work with very animal I had not spent a lot of time with and really didn't know much about. I have worked with feral cat and have learned so much from these very special strong felines.

Even with my extensive pet library, internet access, friend, colleagues, my husband, daughter and my cats Mr. B & Kylie(unfortunately both gone)

Duke, Powder, Sandy and Schnorres could not prepare me for the love, care and passion that I found when I joined Cat Care of Vinings(CCV) in March of 2007. 

From veterinary kennel worker to Senior Technician and now manager of CCV, I am a proud member of a team making a difference in caring for felines.
