Spending time with the animals on her grandparents’ farm as a child was a special time in her life and Dr. Tapscott took that passion for animals to complete the four year pre-veterinary undergraduate program with honors from Cornell University. She then went on to recieve her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. In 1990 her first position as a veterinarian was at the Silver Lake Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Tapscott has been employed at several area veterinary practices and has maintained a reputation as a kind and compassionate animal practitioner with excellent surgical and diagnostic skills. She has a great respect and admiration for the important bond between people and their pets and is an active member in several professional associations including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachussetts Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. She also volunteers services for several local rescue groups including the MSPCA Nevins Farm. Dr. Tapscott has been in practice for over 20 years, most recently at the Burlington Veterinary Hospital and the Animal Hospital of Lynnfield. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to come full circle and start a new practice to serve the needs of the pet owning community. Dr. Tapscott offers complete on-site veterinary services, specializing in dogs and cats.
