Dr. Ali Mason grew up in Cos Cob, Connecticut, but fell in love with Brooklyn after living here while completing her small animal rotating internship at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in Union Square. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island in Canada.

Dr. Mason knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at the age of four. Her home was always filled with animals. She grew up with dogs, parrots, turtles, and even frogs. Dr. Mason has a general interest in all facets of small animal medicine and surgery, but has a special interest in dermatology.

Outside of work, Dr. Mason enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, exploring Brooklyn by foot, and spending time with friends and family. She is a self proclaimed "foody" and you can likely find her on a day off dining at one of the many great neighborhood restaurants. She lives in Cobble Hill with her husband Greg. They plan on extending their family this fall by adopting a dog from a local shelter.
