I grew up in Vermont and trained and showed dogs as a teenager.  I earned both my undergraduate and Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine degrees from Cornell University and joined a large veterinary practice for small animals in Somerville, New Jersey.

After ten years of suburban veterinary practice I purchased the Montague Veterinary Hospital because my wife and I wanted to raise our four children in an area much like the Vermont area where we were raised.

In the process of raising our children I have been involved with school, athletic, church and 4-H activities.  I have served as President of Milford, PA Lions Club, Peters Valley Craft Community, in Layton, NJ and the four hundred member Metropolitan NJ Veterinary Medical Association.  Today my hobbies include photography, walking, swimming, singing & spending time with growing grandchildren.

My children and grandchildren are all animal lovers and I enjoy watching them and guiding them with their pets.
